CORN DOGS

Homemade corn dogs are wrapped in a sweet and savory cornbread mixture, then deep fried until golden. A fun meal option that tastes better than what you'll get at the local fair!

I can't resist a good corn dog! When I see hand-dipped corn dogs at a fair or at an amusement park, I have to order one. This homemade version of the classic dish is easy to prepare and produces perfect results every time.

This recipe starts with this homemade cornbread mixture that consists of cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, eggs, and yogurt. Place the hot dogs on chopsticks, then dry them well with a paper towel. Pour the mixture into a long season, and dip the hot dogs into the cup until completely covered. Fry the hot dogs until golden brown, then repeat the process with the remaining hot dogs and mix. Serve it right away and enjoy!

However, you can be creative and offer a variety of sauces such as barbecue sauce, ranch sauce or spicy mayonnaise.

I usually complete the meal with a side of French fries, either frozen French fries or home baked potato wedges. I also offer vegetables, like a simple green salad, or roasted vegetables like asparagus or green beans.
