Stuffed Cabbages Rolls


 


Cabbage rolls  Cabbage leaves themselves are not very tasty, but they form a firm and soft shell that complements the taste of the meat. Also, I love how easily you can serve every part of this dish in individual rolls, without any hassle and great presentation. Try this recipe now !

* Ingredients :

+ tomato sauce:
° 2 tablespoons of olive oil
1/2 onion (cut into cubes)
4 garlic cloves (chopped)
°28 oz can crushed tomatoes (do not strain)
15 oz can of tomato sauce
° 2 tablespoons of tomato paste
° Salt and pepper as needed
° 2 tablespoons brown sugar1 tablespoon red wine vinegar1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce° 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs  + cabbage rolls:
° 1 pound ground beef (less fat is better)
° 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)° 12 tablespoons of onion powder
° 4 garlic cloves (chopped)
° 1 teaspoon salt
° 1/2 teaspoon pepper
° 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce  ° 1 tsp paprika1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
° 1 egg
° 1 head cabbage
° American custom

* instructions :


tomato sauce:
 Putting a saucepan on medium heat also adding olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the onions and cook for 2-3 minutes or until translucent.Adding garlic & cooking for 30 sec .

Add the mashed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian herbs, salt, pepper, brown sugar, Worcestershire, and red wine vinegar. Stir and leave on low heat.Cooking for 10-15 min, stirring.Cabbage rolls:  At the same time, boil a lot of water.
Heaat  Stove (oven) to 350 degrees F 

Submerge head of cabbage in boil water and cooking for 4-5 minutes orTO the leaves are tender.
Removing from water also peeled 12 large leaves.
 
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, rice, onion powder, garlic, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, Italian herbs, 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, and eggs.

Adding ½ cup of prepared tomato sauce to a bowl and stir TO mixed .Place each leaf of cabbage on a flat surface and make a V-shaped incision with a knife to remove the thickest part of the cabbage ribs.Take 1/3 cup of the meat mixture, shape a stem, and place it in the center of the cabbage leaf.Wrap the meat mixture with cabbage leaves. Repeat the process with the rest of the meat and cabbage pieces.Bread:  Coat a 9"* 13" pan wiith cooking spray.Pour half of the tomato sauce on the bottom, and place the cabbage rolls on the bottom of the baking pan. Put the remaining sauce on top.

Cover it with foil.Bake for 70 to 90 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender and the meat is tender.Sprinkle with remaining parsley and serve.
